The Aisin Group is made up of 13 companies located across the globe. The companies take part in manufacturing within Six operational areas: Power train, Chassis & Vehicle Safety System, Body, Aftermarket, L&E, and CSS*. These were structured, which take charge of project planning, development and production aim to create highly competitive products.

In 1986 Aisin Seiki chose Seymour as the location to build its first North American Manufacturing plant. Since that time Aisin Seiki has added many more facilities in Jackson county. One being Aisin Holdings of America which handles all Aisin business affairs that affect all of Aisin's North American Companies.

The linchpin of the 207 companies that make up the AISIN Group, Aisin Seiki produces and sells automotive parts.

Building on technical expertise amassed in this field, the company is expanding into other areas such as lifestyle and energy-related products.

Aisin constructed a factory in the United States of America in 1986, with production beginning in 1989. This factory, in Seymour, Indiana has since been expanded and supplies components for Honda, General Motors, Mitsubishi Motors, Nissan and Toyota.
